Another argument can be that EXAMPLES section has no example with
deleting (deselecting) of an option. But I understand, I drop the patch.

For me those two have different behavior, with

ifconfig iwx0 monitor
ifconfig iwx0 chan 1

I still see frames from original channel and some others, like the
interface is in scan mode.

ifconfig iwx0 mediaopt monitor
ifconfig iwx0 chan 1

I can see only chan 1 frames, which I usually want.
