You didn't read the mail completely, the report is lacking information.

acpi0: sleep states S0 S3 S4 S5

It used S3.  S0ix is not listed.

Your BIOS may contain an option to use non-S3 suspend.
Sometimes S3 suspend is called "Linux".

We don't want to force S0 on older machines yet, even as a test, that
won't be productive yet.
