This was me.  I can report AHCI works just fine now on my ASUS ProArt
X670E-CREATOR WIFI with the same ahci0 Jan mentioned:

ahci0 at pci18 dev 0 function 0 "AMD 600 Series AHCI" rev 0x01: msi, AHCI 1.3.1
