hi. i can;t comment on the correctness of the diff but i would suggest
changing the wording a little:

i think this is a bit wordy. i think you could just say

	contains either the IP address of the source
	(a.b.c.d for IPv4 or [x:..] for IPv6)
	or
	.Dq local
	(for UNIX sockets).

maybe you don;t even have to mention the formats for v4/6 if it's clear
enough.
