This patch is the missing piece that was required to make more recent HP 
amd64 machines. Including my new daily driver Elitebook with 11th gen 
Core i5.

Out of curiosity (I am not a developer, nor have deep insights into 
UEFI): is there a reason for not committing this? Have tried this patch 
on non-HP amd64 machines too; they all seem to work flawlessly.
