If you can't send in-line for some reason, then a plain text file as a mime
attachment is fine.

With one-line diffs or fixes to comments, it's pretty easy to fix a manged
patch anyway.  But if you send uuencoded or anything else that can't be read
quickly in a text mode email client, then the number of people visually
reviewing it will drop to approximately zero.
