It turned out that there is more than one bug involved here.  Also, I
didn't explain well neither this issue nor the other one with
v_paragraphf() in the other thread.  Besides this issues let me discover
another bug, more relevant.

To avoid further confusion, I'll repost the correct explanation and
respective diffs in new threads, following the order of importance.
I'll do this after the next release.
