Hi there,
i've been trying to run my systems without a disk recently,
while trying to boot them i've been seeing this message pop up during boot:

usage: mknod [-m mode] name b|c major minor
       mknod [-m mode] name p

       mknod [-m mode] name p

turns out thats related to changes to rc for max partition change.
since the logic is related to setups with a disk, perhaps we can skip it
if we are booting diskless.
