My screen is still white background with black text. It is unchanged
from how you would expect it to be.

Honestly I was surprised by that but the default settings from
sys/dev/wscons/wsdisplayvar.h do seem to percolate down through the
default code path now. Deleting most of the custom scaffolding
generally just seems entirely good to me.

Admittedly the console is no longer centered.
