From: Theo Buehler Subject: rpki-client: fix use of X509_get_ext_count() To: tech@openbsd.org Date: Sat, 3 Feb 2024 14:38:58 +0100 X509_get_ext_count(x) can't return < 0 since X509v3_get_ext_count() returns 0 on an empty stack of extensions ensuring sk_*_num() returns a non-negative value. If X509_get_ext_count() could actually return < 0, someone could feed rpki-client a bad cert and make it error out. That's bad, So don't do that. A cert without any extensions will be rejected for many reasons. At the very least it won't pass the 'missing SKI' check at the end.
