Theo noticed that if, after we've used the spinner, we don't print any
other status, we will leave behind a | at the end of the line:

# fw_update
fw_update: add none; update vmm|

With this patch, we clear that pipe so that case looks tidier.

# fw_update
fw_update: add none; update vmm

It still looks like a spinner in my testing.
