I have the same concern. I believe kstat was "sold" to us as a low-latency low-locking collector of information designed to help improve device drivers. Sensors on the other hand, are for user consumption. In particular this seems to come off a usb device which is in effect partly polled information. So why is this here? Probably due to dlg's familiarity with his own subsystem. But it isn't where the data belongs.
