There's no fallacy here because 

1) *we* are the ones who decide this question
2) all of those arguments were stated in full, because it is becomes clear
   that ifconfig should not gain this
3) and will not.  end of story.

Glad you went studied rhetoric at school, did you also study keeping software
minimal, or do you have a rhetorical reply to that?
