Changes like that need to be backed by some kind of process rather than personal preference. If you want to know what I am talking about, I can only refer you to some book written in german quoting papers going back to palo alto at xerox. I am talking about chapter 5.1 of this book [1] which just reproduces studies done at palo alto back then and which are still of great interest today. It boils down to habbits and how to deal with them. [1]
