I was trying something very similar last night, but it had a lot
more XXX. :-)  Double-checking and diffing doesn't show any accidental
mistakes.  elf_aux_info regress output looks sensible on my OD1000,
and xz uses the crc32 instructions to verify CRC32 integrity.
